David,
Thanks for your concern. It has been my experience in 35 years of
ministry
that trying to answer someone's objections is like trying to fill a
leaky
bucket. It's better to get a new bucket.
What I mean by this is that when we engage our efforts in answering each
new
objection or argument from a person who has made up their mind to be
opposed
to our message, we just encourage them to come up with more arguments
and
take more of our time coming up with answers. It's better to invest our
efforts in the new bucket--and by that I mean proclaiming the truth to
those
who are receptive and letting those who are really interested compare
the
two. There just aren't enough hours in the day to try to convince
someone
like Nicholas of his errors. The Holy Spirit will be the only One who
can
do that.
As an LE you've probably noticed that it's best to spend your time
selling
to people who have a genuine interest rather than trying to compel
people
who don't want your product to buy it. The same goes for truth as a
whole.
May God richly bless you and your ministry this Christmas and New Years
season!

Dear David,
Wow, this guy doesn't check his facts very well does he? Since when is
Bert
Beach the president of the GC? I think most people who know anything
about
the SDA church will immediately see that what the guy says is not
accurate.
Anyhow, we all must seek truth in the best way we know how. These types
of
sites will be out there and continue to multiply, mixing truth with
error.
We can continue to give reasons for our faith and answers to those who
ask
in sincerity. But trying to answer every objection of someone who just
wants to object is a fruitless pursuit. Like trying to answer every

Dear Brother Wade,
I have appreciated the Voice of Prophecy. My heart is full of deep love
and respect for H. M. S. Richards Sr. I met H.M.S. Richards Jr. in 1994.
I cried when he passed away. You see he and I made arrangements to have
dinner together again and again all week he was in town. But something
came up again and again on both my part and his. It was a busy time for
both of us. Brother Richards Jr. was leaving the following morning and I
was to never see him again in this life time. Before he left he made me
a promise. "David, I have an appointment with you in Heaven at the
Center of Town, at the Tree of Life, There we will sup together!" That
has been one of the most meaningful things anyone has ever told me. I am
going to hold him to that promise one day soon!

David, just wanted you to know that I passed on your email about Jr. to
Mary
King, his daughter, at the last email address I had for her--don't know
if
it's still valid as she and her husband have moved from PUC to SAU.
